- 1 lb fresh or frozen fish fillets/steaks, or three 10-12 oz fresh or frozen pan dressed trout
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Spiceitup! Jalapeno Ketchup for Dipping
Thaw fish if necessary. Cut whole fillets into 3 pieces. Dip fish in egg and coat with bread crumbs. Place coated fish in a shallow, greased baking pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix butter and lemon, then drizzle over fish. Bake in a 500°F (260°C) oven until golden brown and flakes with fork. Allow 5-6 minutes for each 1/2 inch of thickness. Serves three.
