Spicy Barbecued Chicken

  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup Spiceitup! Jalapeño Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp celery seed
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 (2 1/2-3 lb) chickens

Sauté onions and garlic in cooking oil until tender. Stir in all other ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes stirring several times. Cut chicken in quarters or pieces, baste and grill with bone side down for 25 minutes on medium-hot grill. Turn and baste, then cook another 20-25 minutes and baste after turning with remaining sauce.
